The CCDE is approved in some states as an educational
equivalency to the National CDA with an additional Christian
education component. In Florida it is DCF approved as a FCCPC.
THE CCD (THE CHRISTIAN CHILD DEVELOPMENT CREDENTIAL) REQUIRES
THE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY COMPONENT ONLY. IT CAN BE ADDED TO A
CREDENTIAL OR DEGREE. IT REQUIRES THE COMPLETE CREDENTIALING

to obtain a CCDE credential on-line:
1. Complete 120 of on-line
training
offered by CDEA. The cost of the training is only
$199.00 and can be purchased on the CDEA web site.

2.
*Contact CDEA at 800-741-7762 for a credential information
manual. The information manual outlines the process and
procedures required to earn a CCDE Credential. The information
manual may be ordered from CDEA or printed from
the on-line training library. *If you choose to print it, the
cost of $29 may be subtracted from your total cost.
3.
Complete 24 hours of Christian Ministry online training offered
by CDEA. (See the link at the end of this
section). There is NO additional charge for this portion of the
training. It is included in the $199 training purchase price
and you have 12 months to complete the training at your own
pace.
4.

After completing all training, complete 3 hours of
personal assistance (mentoring) done by conference call - one
hour for each 8 hour values-based training module.

Appendix F, Appendix G, fees, and all documentation required to
CDEA. The fees listed below for the credential process
(totaling $295.95) are sent directly to CDEA.
7. CDEA
will then schedule your verification visit and certification
process. This is an on-site visit so the area coordinator can
observe you in a Christian child care setting.
8.
Upon successful completion of these requirements, a CCDE
credential is issued.
