It is the goal of CDEA to offer high quality training at affordable prices for all members to benefit of the leaders in education, and to provide the foundation for success in Christian education to families across the nation.
The Child Development Education Alliance was born in 1993 to be A Voice for Quality in Christian Settings. This vision has been realized in 1996 when CDEA unveiled its first training opportunity – Christian Ministry Classes – to supplement the credential training requirements for the National CDA . Since that day, the voice of the members has become stronger through training, ongoing educational support and the sharing of ideas provided by the conference speakers and the leadership of the CDEA.
As a member of CDEA, you have the opportunity to learn and participate in this exciting community by attending and learning from your peers in the education industry with opportunities that CDEA provides at these scheduled events:
The CDEA hosts their National Conference each year in the beautiful city of Jacksonville, Florida.
This conference allows the attendees the opportunity to listen, share ideas, and learn from national experts and leaders who not only help them to earn their CEU’s but more importantly provide encouragement and insight to pursue excellence in the world of educating young children.
In addition to attendees, the CDEA National Conference is well attended by sponsors that are loyal supporters of the vision and mission of CDEA and their members. This is a “must attend” conference for every early education professional that want to know more and is ready to become the best that they can be!
This conference has received high acclaim and has hosted some of the most dynamic guest speakers such as best-selling author and national speaker, Cynthia Ulrich Tobias, and Ty Wood, the notable wordsmith, video producer, and everyone’s favorite storyteller!
CDEA also has mini conferences and symposiums in state and local settings.Over the last 20 years, CDEA has been invited to share their expertise and help educate and guide early education professionals at conferences across the nation. The reach has even been provided to large organizations as CDEA has had the opportunity to assist with guidance as well as provide resources to Focus on the Family and the ACSI.
The mission of CDEA has reached national levels in recent years as we have been given the opportunity to share the vision of CDEA and the passion for the children of the nation with the decision makers in the legislative branch of the state and nation, as well as the White House.
